Instructional and Industrial Response and Development activities at the Marine Institute are organized around three schools, the School of Fisheries, the School of Maritime Studies and the School of Ocean Technology and supported by the Office of the Vice-President (Marine Institute) Academic and Student Affairs through its Office of Teaching and Learning and the Office of Career and Integrated Learning. Theory and practice are viewed as partners in the learning process, as classroom education is continually translated into practice. Instructors are both educators and practitioners, and the student’s educational experience is based upon a balanced combination of practical and theoretical knowledge. The Institute also has a strong capability in learning technology and distance education.
