Marine Institute students prepare for their oceans careers with hands on training – with significant technology and equipment demands. Through strong connections with industry, the Institute is honoured to have received gifts-in-kind such as simulation technology within its Centre for Marine Simulation, ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) for our School of Ocean Technology, and life rafts and PPE (personal protective equipment) used to conduct research and train within our Offshore Safety and Survival Centre Research Unit. We welcome industry to contact us to discuss opportunities to donate technology and equipment the Institute. Often, these gifts-in-kind are eligible for charitable tax receipts.
