Arriving in Newfoundland and Labrador

MI is committed to guiding students with information about the processes you will have to go through for a potential return to Newfoundland and Labrador for your studies.

As of Nov, 23, 2020, ALL STUDENTS (new, returning, domestic, international) travelling from outside the province of Newfoundland and Labrador must self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days upon arrival to Newfoundland & Labrador (NL).  This is mandated by the Government of Newfoundland Labrador’s Public Health officials.

For the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 in the province, please refer to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's website.

ALL STUDENTS (both domestic and international) MUST complete the Arrival Information Form AND participate in Memorial’s Self-Isolation Peer Support Program. The form is used to gather information needed to support students during the self-isolation period. This form will be closed form December 17th – January 2nd.

Please consult Memorial University’s Arrivals 2020-21 for the latest guidelines on the arrivals process.

The Marine Institute has a dedicated email studentsupport@mi.mun.ca that is monitored daily and provides a quick accessible touch point if students are unsure where to direct a question or concern.
