The province of Newfoundland and Labrador has experienced near-constant growth for the last 10 years. The energy, mining, aquaculture and education sectors represent a rapidly growing pool of qualified and bilingual jobs.
The goal of the Bilingual Postsecondary & Career Fair is to encourage young people to become aware of the province's key resources, to generate interest in the related postsecondary programs of study and to highlight opportunities for creating new businesses.
The fair will involve some 100 exhibitors from Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Ontario and St. Pierre and Miquelon. Building on the success of the 2011 edition, the fair will welcome some 800 students and will be spread over two sites: the Marine Institute and the Centre scolaire et communautaire des Grands-Vents.
This project aims to better develop the talents of our youth. It is financed by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Government of Quebec and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
